I grew up in the village before moving away in my twenties to work as an HR Manager and part-time Graphic Designer.

I later returned to Cuxton to raise my children and helped set-up a ‘Parent Forum’ consultation group with the local Surestart team, arranging several public events for families in Cuxton, including Easter Egg Hunts, Summer Fun Days and Halloween parties.

When my children reached school age, I began volunteering for the Friends of Cuxton Schools (PTA), helping to raise funds for the new ICT suite and playground equipment.

I am currently a stay-at-home parent but continue to volunteer at the Academy of Cuxton Schools, assisting with their new ‘Forest Schools’ programme.

Much of my family still live in the village and, as a third-generation resident, I am passionate about keeping the village the same friendly, beautiful place it has always been.  I support ACT as I feel that the residents of Cuxton will benefit from improved communication, greater involvement and more community events that ACT will offer.
